[There's an approving hum, and she nods rather definitively even though he can't see. The promise is returned, soft and in that throaty Italian accent she fell into when she was lazy:] We will. [The static jolts her out of the sleepy state she was slipping into, but that was a good thing considering the question. She rubs her face and sighs:] He says he worships more than one god now. The more gods, the deeper his faith. That his mind has been opened to a new lord, and his view of this universe expanded. He has been freed. There's no name for his god, but he says it's the sun. The sun that scorches away imperfections. The sun that spreads, and the heat that catches, skin to skin. [The last bit repeated as if she heard that phrase several times from people.]
