News: the paper
[In the local paper (the one nobody reads, save the back-page ads) there's a momentary lapse in the poor judgment of whoever hauls together the dregs of journalism and calls it worthy of a business. An article, to be specific. Not on the front page of the paper but toward the back and the grammatical slips throughout grow the further away from the front page you get, so it suggests poor editing all around. Regardless. It's an article, a sharp little portrait of the dog, the shop, the blood smeared down Main and a pithy summary of recent mysterious events and the turn to the decidedly weird, a suggestion of the Facility being on the outs with the recent manhunt indication enough that on the outs was dangerous to all who lived within distance. The article is buried, the pen-sketch of a woman who'd owned the oldest animal in the county for thirty years rates higher billing in this particular edition of the paper but still. Something reasonably close to worth reading]
