[Lux: Ella & Helena]
[Helena was beautiful in the way of flowers. There was nothing that could compare, and Helena needed do nothing to bring that beauty out. Natural, unadulterated, and not at all flimflam, and Ella had always believed it so. Ella, herself, was rough-hewn. She looked made for less refined things, and that suited Ella well.
It suited her well, too, to find her friend here. She knew Helena's secrets, and Helena knew her secrets. It was something Ella didn't share with the Boss, and something she wouldn't share with the Boss. Secrets were dangerous ground for a jane like her, but she kept the few secrets she had close, and she hugged them tightly.
She hugged Helena just as tightly, when those arms closed about her, and she smiled a brightly freckled smile when Helena drew back. She motioned to a stool, and she looked not at all chagrined.] You can't hold it against me. I'm giddy for juice. [It was unapologetic and bright.] But you're here now, and we can drink and tell tales and dance with abandon. [She was teasing, of course, for she knew Helena to be very refined.]
