Re: log - helena & wes
[Helena laughed softly as he offered her his mug, a gesture of goodwill but an empty gesture. She shook her head.] Oh, no. Thank you. I’ve had enough to drink already. [Leaning over the counter top, she reached under and pulled out her own silver tumbler. With the lid on securely, she waved it from side to side, the liquid inside – coffee, presumably – swishing inside though neither of them could see the contents.] Besides, after this I have a lot of sleep to catch up on. I won’t be needing any coffee for that.
[She waited patiently as he took that first sip, relaxing dramatically with relieved sigh once he gave his smile of approval.] Quick math definitely helps but I like to think a good work ethic is the most important. It won’t be as exciting as an oil tanker [What? To Helena that sounded interesting and exciting] so I’m sure you’ll be fine.
As for the tour, I promise it won’t be long. Then you and your mug can go back to having your moment. [With a slight tilt of her head, she indicated for him to follow her. With her own tumbler still in hand, she lead him through the store. The aisles were self explanatory and she pointed where the break room was, the backrooms for stock, and the supply closet for all the cleaning supplies.] The cameras are new. Well, newish. [She pointed out where they were in the store.] They automatically archive the clips that I can see on my phone, but there’s also a live feed that I can look at in case something happens when I’m not here. [Whenever that was.] Not that I expect a lot to happen. It’s can be a little dead in the early mornings. I probably should have told you to bring a book. But just in case, there’s the video feed and you can call me. [As they neared back to the counter they started with, she grabbed a slip of paper to start jotting down her number.]
