Re: quicklog: cat, matt, steve
[Cat? She barely reacted to anything happening around her. Whatever was keeping her from bleeding out, that tether? It obviously included some mental analgesic. Something soothing that left confusion in its wake. But as soon as Stevie did whatever he did? That confusion began to fade. And then it was just excruciating pain, until Matt did whatever he did. And, alright, that? Hurt like a motherfucker. She screamed, which wasn't the best course of action in a place filled with monsters, but she was out of practice, alright?
She was very out of practice. But as the pain ebbed, she pushed both men away, and she stood. She had the stack or servers at her back, offering support, and her body was very good at putting itself back together. Seemed this alien tech thought it could do better, she thought, her gaze dropping to the cord on the floor. It was lying in a puddle of blood, and she touched her thigh to ensure blood wasn't still gushing out. It wasn't, and that was enough for her. Oh, there would need to be sutures, sure, but not in here. And the same thing that made her aging slow down? It would keep her alive. Or maybe it was the gamma in her blood. No clue, but she wasn't going to crouch there in a corner like a victim. That? That was the technology's sedation. It wasn't her.
She tested her weight on her foot, and then she grabbed the gun from Matt.] Alright. We can't stay here. This floor is cleared of civilians. Do we move a floor down? [It was a hard question, wasn't it? When there was nowhere to go.] We should find Eddie. [Finally, with a nod.] If anyone can figure out how to get people out of here? It's him. [And nothing would dare eat Eddie. And if Eddie and Steph were together? Well, that made them invincible in Cat's mind.] We can help people along the way. [This to Stevie, because she knew that would matter most to him. He was, after all, a bleeding heart.]
