Re: Garage: PJ and Atticus
[She smiled fondly. He was totally Harry Potter nerding out - not that she blamed him - but he totally was. And she agreed. Whole heartedly. He was a great character, and she didn't think that he would have married Tonks either. Maybe not for the same reasons - only because they were choosing not to get into it. But she just knew from where she was sitting that she wouldn't have married Tonks. Especially if she was in love with her. That was just bad news bears.] No, we don't have to get into that at all. And for the record, I don't have to look very hard, but I assume you're sending me on this mission rather than accompanying me? Lazy bones.
[Then there were more questions and she appreciated whatever amount of concern he showed because, well, it had been a bit. And she was missing her awful dysfunctional unhealthy pack something fierce. Sometimes it was hard to remember why she refused to go back. But even a little bit of concern was nice.] Someone put me there, but it's not so creepy. I mean it's going to sound a little creepy. And it is. But - it was a good thing. After I got bit, the pack alpha and his sister - they spent some time trying to find out who had gotten bit. When they found me they kept an eye on me. I was either going to turn or die. So they happened to be following me when I crashed the car. They put me in their basement for my own safety the night I turned. And they looked after me ever since.
But there were rules too. Things I thought were normal. Standard pack rules. Not exactly the case come to find out - so I kind of went rogue. And yes, it's safe. I mean - it's probably better in here than it is out in the woods - but I can't just stay cooped up all the time either. I need to run. But it's a delicate balance. I'm a wolf without a pack. I don't want to get so antsy that I start thinking I ought to make one, that's a terrible idea. But I was taught well. I have very good wolf manners.
And yes. More than a few. There are packs all over, you'd be surprised. I thought I was going to raise some hackles crossing state lines. We don't move around much. When we do - we're usually up to no good.
[She leaned into his sloppy side hug and laughed.] What do you want candy bars or snack cakes? The world is your junk food oyster.
