Re: quicklog: Atticus, Casper, Carver, Michael, Will
[Atticus had no idea exploding in bright light was a possibility. Probably for the best. But even he knew touching people in this group wasn't a good idea. And Atticus, lazy as a summer day, was still observant. Watched as Carver edged away from Will. Interesting. Atticus, personally, had always thought Will the least likely among the boys to hurt anyone. But he'd been wrong, obviously, and he was surprised Will was so willing to get close to the man he'd killed all those years ago.
He watched. He listened. He expected Michael to offer some counter to Carver's harmless, if impressive, work history. He only hoped it wasn't joking about religion. Which, of course, was precisely what Michael did.
Atticus groaned, and he took another swallow from his beer. A long swallow.] Michael didn't mean that. [Of the Vatican. Michael meant it, but maybe it would work.] Nothing as exciting for me. Inherited the B&B, but I don't work it. Deal in old writers. Museum opening in Chicago in '17. I'm the curator. Currently working on building up the collection. Spend most of my time around dust.
