Re: babs/dami log: the manor
Babs smiled as he walked closer and resisted the urge to do a fist pump when she got the answer right. She tried to keep her dorkiness down to a minimum around Damian because to her he was cool. He was this badass who said whatever he wanted, could do things that no one else could even dream of and she believed he deserved to be the next Shadow. He still didn't really match Bruce's moral system, or even hers, but Damian was still the best choice out of all the Rooks that had ever lived under the Wainright roof. Obviously, she thought highly of him and that meant she tried to be the best version of herself around him. So, yeah, that included 25% less dork-outs.
Babs was also aware that he likely didn't do the same, that maybe he had no idea how to edit himself. Gwen had complained about that to the point where Babs didn't think there was a chance those two would ever get along. But, Babs prefered Damian's rudeness to Jason's asshat behaviors. It could have been as easy as having different preferences in boys, or that maybe Jason was actually a real sweetheart to Gwen. Jason being sweet on a girl was actually pretty gross.
It was a lot better to focus on Damian calling anything beautiful. He said it like it was a universal truth. Babs liked that a lot.
"I think so." She said and her legs opened a little as an invitation for him to get a little closer. Babs tilted her head to the side, red ponytail laying like a ribbon on her shoulder. "Say it one more time just to make sure?" Her voice soft and flirty, which didn't happen too often anymore with all the League business happening around them.
