Re: babs/dami log: the manor
She followed him into the kitchen and hopped up on the counter next to the sink. The scarf was gone and she was down to a band t-shirt and jeans. Nothing fancy, but Babs couldn't remember the last time she dressed up for anything. Maybe with this new club she could get Damian out? Just the thought of him dancing or sulking in the corner made her smile. She watched him at the fridge and then kicked her boots off, swinging her feet in the air.
When he suggested their codeword, out came a foreign language she hadn't learnt yet. Babs thought it sounded good coming from him and those big blue eyes of him weren't helping to keep her objective. She hated herself for a few full seconds for not learning more languages while she was here, especially ones that might be useful. It was a nerd girl thing. A bad hang up of feeling not good enough if she didn't know everything ever across both time and space. Going to a college full of tech dudes could do that to anyone.
Still, this was Damian and he never made her feel insecure about her brain. So she asked: "What does that mean?" Barbara pressed the palms of her hand onto the counter and tilted her head. She repeated the word softly to herself. Gazelle? She didn't guess out loud.
