Re: babs/dami log: in front of the manor
Barbara's teasing smile flipped into an honest one. She was relieved he was okay, in a good enough mood to joke with her (well, as much as Damian could manage) and there wasn't some terrible drama to unfold after the egg hunt. She imagined how badly it would have been if other members of their "family" were paired together and how one more bad fight could split them all apart for good. It was a delicate matter and Barbara wasn't so great at that when it came to emotions and people. She knew she'd have to figure out a way to take advantage of the good fortune they were given. Bruce was alive, Jason wasn't completely evil and they could all start over somehow. Right?
"Noooo." Babs protested with a roll of her eyes like making a new friend was a stupid reason to be beaming with happiness. She turned to look at him, picking a piece of lint off his hoodie as an excuse to touch him. "Yes." She admitted quickly to the bad lie. "I like her a lot. She's easy to talk to and smart." Babs missed the company of girls and to meet someone knew who could keep up with her was a pretty good get. "She wants to take a college class with me. We could both actually pretend to be normal nerd girls for once."
She smiled at the thought of that, looking up at the sky for a couple moments before she shook her head. "But, she's an experiment from the League and I think they're giving her outdoor privileges. Which means she's not itching to take them down right this second. And Jason- I can't figure him out at all..." A shake of her head at Damian like that was old news.
