Re: Outside the Roadhouse: Gwen & Sheriff Martin.
"He wanted to get me a phone so that I could stream television. I don't think he meant anything bad by it, but it made me uncomfortable. He keeps asking questions about me, and they make me nervous, and it feels like he's trying to figure out who I really am and where I came from. I guess he might just be way curious," she admitted, because she didn't actually think Jude was a bad person per definition, but it wasn't really good to have someone figuring out that her stories didn't add up appropriately. "Jason says I need a believable backstory that I can stick to, so that's what I'm trying to do. He's obtaining a birth certificate and social security number for me, utilizing the name Guinevere Reilly."
The granola bar fit neatly between her folded hands, and the wrapper crumbled when she tightened her fingers. "Jason was her boyfriend until he cheated on her, sir. I think Peter cheated on her too, but that's a little less clear in my head," she admitted. Her memories weren't like memories at all, and sometimes she forgot what part of the book she'd read certain things in. She forgot things in the same way that details in a novel were forgotten, and sometimes it wasn't super clear what happened, especially when the first-person scenarios were missing. "No, sir. I don't intend to see him in person."
