He was young, not as young as she had been in the first picture, but he looked like he was in his 20s and not much older than she currently was. There was no way he still looked like that.
That meant the picture had to be old.
The picture of her was old, too.
She frowned as she looked at it, held it up to stare at the man's face in the photograph. Two old pictures. And the man looked familiar, not in some vague way, but like she'd seen his face before. Recently. She frowned at the photos and set them back down on the bar. Even though Cat had offered her the one - she wouldn't keep that.
Her gaze darted back to Cat when she asked. Her fingertips lingered on the photos before she edged them back toward their original owner. There were so many questions she could ask: Was he here? Where was he? Why didn't she have more recent photographs? Her tongue darted out to wet her lips while she considered her options. Start at the beginning. "Is he- is he here? In Repose? Do you know where he is?"
