Re: log: jude/louis
Louis sipped his coffee while Jude made the case for the art museum. He was and remained amused at Jude's flat and outright flirtatiousness. Rather than making him feel attractive, he felt very much like the boss of Jude's brother. He speculated he could have been a fifty year old woman, and Jude would have flirted with him in precisely the same way. He seemed to like being liked, and like making an impression. And whether it was true or not that his flirtatiousness stemmed from a mixture of interest and ulterior motives didn't really matter - what mattered was that Louis' vision of himself was not a person who was flirted with as more than a courtesy. Not this overtly, anyway.
"Then perhaps you should pose for all seven," he said, with a laugh. "The irony alone would make it a worthwhile experiment."
"You might say the same for me," Louis said, with a little less mirth, but the same amount of dry remove. Some certainly would call the Donovans 'rescuers.' That was the point of their charity work, after all - to be called philanthropists, even if his own adoption had been a secret for years.
"I have to thank you for the coffee," he said, leaning back a little. Behind Jude, one of those regulars was lingering close to the desk, an old fishing lure held delicately, carefully in their fingers. "And I may take you up on that museum offer. If only to see if you can prove yourself right."
