Re: In person: Dietre / Hugh
Dietre let out another soft breath of a laugh. “Well, then, what did it sound like I said?” A rhetorical question, he didn’t really wait for an answer. He repeated the pet name again, speaking slowly and enunciating each syllable, “Honig… bär-...chen…” He raised his brows and inclined his head encouragingly. Hugh wasn’t left in the dark for long, he soon translated fully, “Honig. Honey. Bär. Bear. And adding chen just makes it diminutive.” His smile approached a grin. “Little honey bear.”
“I have no intention of calling you that regularly, don’t worry.” His forays into silliness only went so far. He wasn’t one for overly cutesy pet names in general, a simple ‘darling’ suited him fine.
He blushed and modestly bowed his head at being called irresistible. Hugh could get him to believe a lot of things, but not that. Still, it was the thought that counts, and so he was flattered just the same.
“I’ll try my best to always be honest with you, Hugh.” This was a promise he felt he might be able to keep. Somehow it wasn’t hard to tell the truth around Hugh. Their honesty with each other made them closer and gave Dietre a secure feeling he never experienced with anyone else.
“Hmm… With all of that said, what shall we do tonight?” Dietre still felt in need of distractions. “Watch a film? Listen to music?” His tone became a little flirtatious, “...Lay in bed and kiss until dawn?”
