Re: Lakeside night: Seven/Liam
The words echoed around in his thoughts, colliding against one another until they filled him up, big and bold and unable to be ignored. The tip of a pink tongue flicked out to try and wet lips that had gone suddenly dry. His hand stilled against the line of Seven's jaw, unwilling to loose that bit of contact just then. It was okay. They were okay. If Seven was the one saying it, then it had to be true. He had never been one to lie, after all.
But were they really?
Dream or whatever it was for Seven, it was reality for Liam, as real as his life managed to be now. It was easy to say that things were okay, that they were okay, but he knew the truth. He started to shake his head in the negative, dragging his gaze away from Seven's own to fix somewhere over his shoulder on the stacks behind him. "I fucked up. I fucked up and this isn't something I can fix." He dragged his gaze back, fixing Seven with an intense look. "I can't- I can't do this much longer. Do you understand?" His other hand came around, sliding along shoulder and neck to slide up, holding Seven's face in both of his palms.
