Re: Woods: Holly and Rafe
Holly was big, sure, but his military days were behind him, and he was back to his usual state... which was to say that he was soft, not bulked out, and only his stature made him in any way intimidating. Well, that at his tendency not to smile and to be crazy-direct with people, which, you know, was often a bad thing around here. But that was neither here nor there, because he was busy focusing right now. For all that he looked totally chill, shoulders loose and hands in his pockets, he was taking in the situation. He was also glad to see, or to sense, that this didn't seem to have anything to do with how he got here. In other words, the air here didn't feel thin, and he didn't feel like he could reach out and manipulate it or something, you know?
And the tree the guy was examining? It wasn't the one that led into the military's Upside-Down, so that chilled out Noah's concern that the monster had gotten to her or something. Though, if that thing had gotten to Audrey? She totally would've been some kinda snacky appetizer. His experience with the monster in the shadow-world beneath Repose? Really didn't leave any option for escape, not without abilities, and he didn't think Audrey had any, right? He'd only survived that monster because of Noah, who could apparently do a lot more impressive shit than he, Noah, had even realized himself.
"I'm Holly," he ultimately said, after a few seconds of determining whether or not the guy seemed surprised at the Audrey mention. Surprised... guilty? He didn't see either one of those things on this guy's face, so, okay, onward. "I found her out here," he explained, not knowing who this guy was or how he was involved with Audrey, but the name offering? Was definitely an invitation for that information, as was the thing about picking Audrey up out here, you know, in her fucked up state.
