Re: Woods: Holly and Rafe
So, Holly affected the space around him in this weird way. He was out of place in this timeline, and he didn't belong here, and his effect on animals and nature was kinda the same thing that made people around him react to his emotions and absorb them, amplify them, something. He wasn't sure how any of it worked, and it was only now that he was even accepting that, okay, maybe there was a thing going on. Unfortunately, he had literally zero answers as to what the thing going on could possibly be. But, yeah, that was to say that maybe a werewolf could sense something was off. Not that Holly knew this crouching man was a werewolf. But, let's be real? He would not have been surprised. After all, Gramps was a vampire and, apparently, his grandmother was some kinda witch. Also, his dad here? Had totally been killed by a werewolf. Holly had never known the man, not in this timeline, but, yeah, enough rambling.
Holly's hands were deeply in the pockets of his jeans, and he absolutely did expect this guy to stand up. Not because he didn't think the guy could be in the woods, but because people usually did, you know, stand up, turn around, face whoever had approached. Holly was pretty sure it was a self-protective thing, facing people and being, like, tall, so he noted that the man stayed where he was.
He motioned to the dirt on the guy's hand, and he looked around. The entire place smelled of what Audrey had smelled of. He'd had to scrub that scent from the Jeep, and it wasn't, like, mad-strong here or anything, but it was jammed into his nose or something. And, come on, the Audrey thing? That had just happened, and this guy being here was maybe about that, and he still couldn't tell if this guy was potentially the villain responsible, though he didn't think so... for some reason.
So, he glanced toward where the air felt different to him, to where the schisma was louder, but he knew Audrey's situation had nothing to do with that; he wasn't sure how he knew, but he did, and his attention returned to the man. "You're here about Audrey?" he asked, because why the fuck not? It couldn't hurt anything to just come out and ask.
