Re: The Neighbourhood: Billy/Alex
The mention of makeup stops Alex a little short, because he thinks he knows Billy well enough to believe that the other young man is more than capable of following up on his threats, and this one hasn't been made idly. Still, he laughs a little, because just let Billy try. Okay, so he'd probably allow it if it came right down to making Billy happy; that's fairly true. Still. "Sure, just remember I'm a winter or something something makeup shit," he says with another short laugh, pretty sure he's heard something like that somewhere before.
He gets down on the couch next to Billy and sits at the front of the cushion so he can hunch over the coffee table to eat his pizza. He does look over at Billy at the mention of Tandy, so like yeah, he gets it - to a degree. He's had his own complicated set of feelings over Tandy's gone-ness or just transformation into a different state of gender or whatever has legitimately happened, but he knows he's not feeling it as keenly as Billy must be. He doesn't not say anything either, because something has to be said to acknowledge the guy, right? "That's 'cause the dude's like...the two kids in a trenchcoat version of us." Present tense; the dude's not dead, and Alex firmly believes that someday in the future, he'll be back. He nudges Billy's leg with his own, and his smile is still there, but quieter and more respectful.
