The memories are there for Zo too. The good times. Those points of time where only they existed for the other. Zoe had always been concerned for Matilde until she couldn't care about much. Kyle had killed her but after resurrecting her once, she failed to return the favor. But here they both were. To Zo, it was now water under the bridge. no grudges held. There was just this empty place where love may have festered once. But the scars lingered. Good and Bad were so indistinguishable sometimes.
So Hazel is batshit insane. Better watch my fingers Zo thinks silently to herself but gives an affirming nod when she's asked if she's following.
