Si pressed his lips together and nodded, acknowledgment of her being freaked out. Of them sharing that shitty boat. He reached for her knee and squeezed it. Her correction about the roadtrip life's parameters did make him smile a little. He looked over and, even though it felt weird and waxy to make any kind of expression—like he was cold clay, he crinkled his nose in return. He nodded at her vision. He hadn't lived in any real place in a long time. He'd both dreaded and looked forward to living in the house with Ames and Audrey. Now that that wasn't going to happen, his brain couldn't pick apart the place down to its fixtures to find whatever ghosts infested the place.
He nodded a third time. "Yeah." He swallowed and cleared his throat again. "Do you want to live with me?"
