Re: [Woods: Atticus & Eames]
Slower. Sure, was slower. Was slower, lazy, not particularly proactive. Wasn't apologetic about it. Was fine with who he was. Had always been fine with who he was, even in those awkward teenage years. Maybe zen was too peaceful. Wasn't sure, and wasn't introspective enough to find out. Was just fine being just fine, was what it came down to. "Uncertain about odd ducks, but certain about discussing sex. Check. Got it. Think I got it." Was grinning. Made it obvious he was teasing, joking. Had absolutely no idea what the conversation was about right now, but didn't mind. Arbitrary topics, confusing discourse, it was all fine with Atticus. Was into communication, words exchanged, ideas shared, and the sensibility of exchanged ideas mattered very little.
Crossed his arms, but lazily; not a protective stance, but something that felt boneless. "Think the entire world deals in information of one sort or another. Big information. Small information. More valuable than money, when it's all said and done," he said. "Think people give things away when it suits them to. People who use information as currency. Then you have the people who just give information out willy-nilly, as if it had no value. Always appreciated those people," he admitted. Chuckled then. "Don't think Janus knows anything that I'm not getting. Suggesting he does?" Was a product of his time, and didn't even think to use gender-neutral pronouns.
As for the runes, Atticus just looked back at the other man. Didn't look sheepish. Didn't look as if there was anything to hide about the marks on his skin. "Island life wasn't for me," was what he ultimately said, addressing being out here alone for the entire day. "Accustomed to cities, bustle, conversation."
