Re: [Woods: Atticus & Eames]
Looked around. "Didn't know there was a path to be on," he said, sounding good-natured. No accent to speak of. No indication of wealth on his person. Had shaved that morning. Made him look slightly younger, but still looked like someone nearing 30. Had left his teens behind long ago. With a beard, he seemed to have 30 safely tucked into his pocket. But no matter. Was wandering. Had come from the lake area. Hadn't really paid much attention where he was going. Probably indicative of just how unconcerned he was about Repose's oddities. Wasn't scared that anything was going to come upon him, especially recently. Had learned how to work some of the runes. Was somewhat confused by his access to powers he'd never seemed to possess before. Wondered if they came from the same place as whatever fueled the haunts.
But was curious about the man in front of the strangely modern house. Was curious by nature. "Was just walking. Whittling?" he asked. Motioned toward the chess-piece-in-progress the man held. "Haven't seen anyone whittle in a long time. Never had the patience for it." Hadn't. Was lazy, and had always thought that laziness should have led to enjoy activities like whittling, but, no, always seemed like too much work. Took too long. Took too much focus. Took too much of everything.
As for the haunts. There weren't any around him right at the moment. Was hopeful that meant they had gotten the memo. Assumed ghosts gossiped among themselves. Was a human tendency, gossiping.
