Re: Kit & Tory: Area 52
Tory followed the gaze to his plants, and he wasn't surprised. Kit had said he liked plants, and Tory's left something wanting. Well, if the good doctor wanted to take a look, he was hardly averse to the idea. They...needed help. He tried. He liked them. He talked to them, and not like that one fictional demon he'd once read about did: threatening them with the wrath of all Hell. He was sweet, cajoled and watered and even sometimes tried to beg away the brown at the edges of the leaves.
"A useless first name that I don't ever...well, use," Tory said with a little grin. He wouldn't have thought of Vanna White as a cultural sticking point or a random pop-culture reference, but he did have a lot of those at his slightly less-than-clean fingertips. "The V is for Victor, which is where Tory comes from, as you did mention. So...both my first name, and not," he said to explain away his prior comment on the forums."
He was a little surprised that the offer of coffee had been accepted, but more than happy to go and make them both a cup. "Right, I'll get right on that," he nodded, heading in the direction of the sink to wash his hands while kind of talking over his shoulder at the same time. "Feel free to...uh, look around or whatever. Or you know, if you're some kinda plant whisperer I'm not going to say no." Because of course he'd noticed Kit looking. "I noticed you looking," he provided directly from his internal monologue.
