Re: Mat & Ren || The Docks
Ren had been in a lot of strange situations in his life, with people who have no idea of personal boundaries, or who want something from him. He'd been chided, and watched with the sort of careful eye that made him feel that there would clearly be something wrong with him, but this particular strange situation, still provides a new experience. He shrugged, unruffled by the fact that she'd circled him like some sort of prey.
"You're projecting a lot of things onto me there, Miss Evil, or is it Mrs? I listen to my customers, even when they order oak milk," he says this as if the sin is absolutely the type of milk, and not the temperature of the drink itself. And really he just doesn't like milk in general in coffee. Cow, almond, soy or otherwise - no, soy might be actually evil, whereas Oat is just Evil Pretending. This thought quirks his lips up into a slight smirk. "But don't worry, I'm not going to give it to you anyway other than hot now."
For a moment, he watched her, then he moved over to sit beside her, sitting down with far from the grace of someone who danced or did regular yoga, but definitely someone who knew how to move. "I thought you didn't listen to recommendations," this is said as he sticks his feet in the water. Definitely not hot. "And really, I said I was testing the water temperature, you came up with the idea to swim nearly naked amongst the haunts or whatever the fuck is in there. So, I recommend getting in before they can pull you in," it's difficult to tell if he's being serious or not.
