Re: LIVING ROOM (Near the fireplace): Hugh C./Rafe J.
Hugh had spent a year of his life in some sort of weird, possibly even self-subscribed, penance where he didn't see people, or go out, or really do much of anything that was social. And during that time he'd pretended he could write screenplays rather than be an actor, and he'd pretended that he didn't need people. The house might have originally been bought and gifted by his biological father, but Hugh had definitely spent a good portion of that year changing things, and making it a little bit more him here and there. This party, though, was a project better suited to Hugh. He didn't make a good hermit. He liked having people around, and he liked little pleasures like good food and good drink, and those things definitely came together in planning a party.
"The night is young," Hugh laughed, the implication being that things could still not pan out, and of course he wasn't particularly serious anyway considering that Repose didn't really seem like the party capital of the world, but he didn't think he'd hate it as a job if acting really didn't pan out. "But it's always good to have options." He hadn't felt like he'd had them after the trial for a while, and he never wanted to be in that particular place again.
Something held all sorts of possibilities, and Hugh didn't know if that was a good something or a bad something. "Reconnecting with old friends can be good," he offered. After all Zee was the main reason (or excuse anyway) for throwing this party. Of course it could also be less good, as his ex showing up back over Christmas had demonstrated. "Are they local?"
