Re: In-person: Damian/Burden
Burden, he wasn't stung and that was true enough. He wouldn't be surprised to learn that he, Burden, looked smug, neither. As for lives superimposed, he wasn't sure how that would be. None of his religion made room for something like that, and he was more prone to think that this was all the Devil's doing. He didn't reckon Damian would give credence to that any, to the Devil, and he didn't reckon either of them important enough the war between good and evil to be leveraged in any real way.
He was lost to thinking a moment, and he realized Damian had halted once his own feet had left their impressions in the sand a few steps ahead. But he did halt there, as Damian was pinching out the cigarette and stowing it. Confusion lit itself on Burden's face a moment, as Damian looked and neared. And, true enough, Damian was real plenty close, but Burden didn't move back. He gave the other boy a real quizzical look, and then he understood. And could be he was sinning by just standing there and not pushing Damian aside. Because, and make no mistake, he didn't push Damian aside. He cupped the other boy's scalp, slid the other hand to the boy's hip, tugging him flush-close, and he slanted his mouth over Damian's and took control of the kiss with parted lips and fearlessness as he licked at Damian's mouth. Space, just a smidge, and a whispered, "let me in."
