Re: In-person: Damian/Burden
Damian glanced down at the pale hand that pulled at him, then peered upward once more. The seriousness upon Burden's face had broken and the boy had laughed, and Damian did not understand the joke. He frowned further, but he did not resist Burden, nor his instructions. He did indeed fall into step beside the taller boy. Their footsteps were quiet, even beneath the shush of the lake.—Damian disallowed his glare to slip, and he lobbed it once more at Burden as he, Damian, was asked of his trust of his sister. "Why would she do that?" Leena, as far as Damian could tell, had little interest in him or his issues, whatever they may be. To go to such lengths... He could not fathom a reason.
Without warning, Damian attempted to remove the cigarette from its perch between Burden's lips. He did not inspect his motive. However, it was not so strange, if they had been some manner of couple, no? If he was able to (or allowed) to retrieve the cigarette, he took a drag upon the damp, crushed filter, held the smoke for perhaps five seconds, and exhaled. He did not return the cigarette.
