Re: in-person: Holly NW/Noah NW
It wasn't always a good thing, right? Nothing was, and Noah's Thing was no exception. He got bad stuff from people all the time, and, yeah, it was stronger with Holly because the connection was, like, uninterrupted and focused or something. But, as far as he was concerned, it was worth the cost. Like, rn, knowing Holly almost said something to create, idk, emotional distance—something he was more comfortable with than honest, earnest admission a lot of the time, which was vulnerable af, tbf—knowing that Holly came close to it and didn't do it? Was hella... satisfying? Maybe that was the right word.
Noah accepted the simple agreement with what was probably the biggest smile, which definitely betrayed his knowledge of that tipping point a second before. But, he didn't tease Holly about it. He knew it was an Admission. "It's good," he agreed, so fucking warmly he could start a fire by rubbing a couple syllables together. He bapped his thigh outward once more, like he could maybe get Holly's fingers how he wanted, but it was a brief stretch, bc, again, pedal. "Pick a song," he said, nodding his chin toward the aux cord. Holly worked at Webster's Vinyl, and part of that was familiarity and family, but the dude liked his music too, and Noah wanted to see what he'd pick.
