Re: capullo de rosa; dietre & hugh
"Yeah, it was really weird at first, and kind of one of those coincidence things that we happened to stumble across each other but, honestly, he helped a lot when things were bad, and not just cause of the house and all that."
He laughed lightly. "I look like my mom, always have, and I'm taller than everyone else in my family. Maybe should have been something I was suspicious of a lot earlier than I was. In some ways I think it's easier that Isaac and I aren't exactly pretending anymore. He knows, I know, and we can just exist within that circle of knowing, I guess."
Hugh reached for the wine and downed it. "I think he said he bought the house from a friend," he chewed on the bottom of his lip. "If he knows anything about things here, then he's never said it, and I've never asked. I mean, how do you ask about things like... well all of it really. But I don't um, sometimes I have all these different thoughts about it, but truthfully, I'm grateful. And not just for the house and trust fund and that shit, like, him giving a damn at all, is not something I take for granted either."
