Re: capullo de rosa; dietre & hugh
"It wasn't," Hugh affirmed, even as his mind was running through the ramifications of what Dietre had just told him. Truthfully, it was making him feel a little as if he needed some sort of supernatural something to offer Repose. It felt like nearly everyone that he had ever spent time with in the town had something. "But it's not, um... it's alright I mean. Like I'm glad that you told me."
That seemed important to state while Hugh tried to think through the rest of it, because Hugh was glad. It might not be what he expected but it felt like the sort of thing you only trusted someone with if you felt that it was safe to do so, and it was safe, Hugh wasn't likely to talk about it with anyone, but also, there was some warmth at the notion that Dietre did trust him in this way.
And Hugh could imagine, because it wasn't difficult to imagine Isaac's reaction to Hugh telling him something like that, and even Mary who was quite sympathetic - Hugh didn't tell her much of the weird things that happened in Repose, which made explaining sometimes a trick.
"How often?" He asked instead. "I mean, is it all the time? Or just some places?"
