Re: Call: Dietre A./Hugh C.
[Hugh listens, nodding, even if Dietre can't see him now either. He vaguely remembers Dietre mentioning having been in the hospital when they first were talking. He chews his lip. He'd been a mess after Em, and it had been compounded by the murder trial, which he doesn't really know if Dietre knows about, and Hugh knows really well if he hadn't had a support network, he might have fallen apart.]
Look it's hard, and especially if you don't have a lot of friends or family or anyone who seems to care. My uhm, there was this girl and we were friends with benefits for a long time and it took me way too fucking to long to realize that I was willing to go for it. I had these dreams of LA or Broadway or whatever, and I took too long. By the time I told her I loved her, she basically told me where I could get off. I had my mom and well, mostly my mom and my therapist. [He laughs shortly.] But it's hard.
