Re: Tory & Jamie: the Apartment
Jamie noticed the shit people wore. Maybe it was shallow, but people said stuff about themselves with the things they picked, so yeah, he noticed the bracelets. It was like, extra, right? Tory bothered which said he wasn't like, just all about the science and it was kinda eclectic or whatever. He, Jamie, didn't wear even a watch. It was stuff that had to be stripped off for practice, and stripped off for the stage and it was old, old fucking habit to go without. But OK, science. He understood maybe like, every other word, and he kinda got the whole thing of big stuff narrowing down, and his forehead creased as he followed along.
"But like, if lions and cats are both the genus thing, why isn't a lion felis?" His smile curled into his cheek and Jamie watched Tory down a shot, like science geekery was worth paying penance, which ftr, it kinda was. Sorry, Tory. "So mushrooms aren't the same thing as like, vegetables. Got it. Am I a shitty audience?" And yeah, he was relaxed. Jamie looked relaxed, he hooked one foot up underneath his thigh and echoed the guy, kinda face-on.
"Yeah, nah, I don't know if she'd take my fingers off," casual, because Cat was like, moody af. Sometimes, she crawled into his lap and settled, a soft, furry mass of heat and comfort and the rest of the time... Cat's tail twitched. Lazily, side-to-side. "According to me? I offered to update your sexcapades, you can't blame me for the underuse of your lap, if that's what we're calling your dick." Lazily, and he glanced from kelly-green Chucks to Tory's face, mostly to see if the guy would blush. But Tokyo, right, and Jamie reached out for the bottle of tequila and poured a shot into the sticky London glass.
"I used to dance," he said, matter-of-fact, like the past-tense didn't hurt. "I went to a bunch of places, and saw theaters and airports, and maybe, if I was lucky, like, a couple hours of tourist stuff. London, Paris, Tokyo, a lot of different places in the US. But they don't do like, Wichita shot-glasses. Or if they do, I didn't pass through an airport to buy them."
