Re: At the Spooky House: Muerte / Eddie
"I've been wallowing since I got here!" Eddie exclaimed like he won a prize. "Not that...I'm trying to show you up or anything. We can share the wallowing award, if you'd like." He smiled and watched as she pushed her fingers through his. Eddie rubbed his thumb against her hand, moving in a little closer too as if to say he wasn't trying to play hard to get or put any distance between them. Any kind of steps backwards were all due to his changing nature, the fear he carried around with him that he wasn't anything...anything at all to anyone. It was automatic, like a wounded animal.
He nodded at her offer to talk and then sighed thoughtfully. "I just need to start researching this stuff. Maybe figure out if one magical item can cancel out another. Something." Eddie sounded more than okay with a little research. Smart guys like him liked learning something new, especially when they thought they knew everything about...everything. "The big concern now is the house I blew up. Cat blabbed about it on the journals and the sheriff caught wind. This guy is tenacious, I've seen him go after one of my carnies. So-" Eddie shrugged. "After I'm done selling this amulet off? I'm going to- try to talk to him."
