Re: At the Spooky House: Muerte / Eddie
"It is I, Edison Nelson." Eddie smiled and then with one of those showman bows and pulled the modest, yet beautiful bouquet of daisies in white, yellow and red. They were arranged to almost look like a sugar skull, which seemed to mean that Eddie had bought it and moved the flowers around himself. Small details were what made life good, or so he always thought. "Oh, I've got to go to the big city to sign on the dotted line. Satan? He's got an office at the top of a skyscraper and cucumber water served in eco-friendly cups." He handed her the flowers and then took a step forward, hand resting on threshold of the door.
"You look good." He smiled and lowered his chin to meet her gaze. A pause and then he launched into: "If I apologized, would you accept it? I've been awful. I know I've been terrible." His fingernail dug into the wood frame of the door and he shook his head. "Everything's been turned around. Everything. And, I don't know what I'm doing anymore. So, I'm sorry. Please let me in. Spend some time with me."
