Re: lakeside mansion; hugh c. & dietre a.
Getting over his initial surprise did not take too long. Dietre slowly began to relax as Hugh leaned against him. Hugh wasn’t the only one thinking that sitting together this way was nice. Dietre was reminded of quiet evenings with Aleksi spent just this way, the both of them reading, or just softly talking. It gave him a wistful feeling, he missed this, having gone these long months without comforting human contact made him feel very lonely. Lonelier than before he knew what it was to actually have a companion, and he’d been plenty lonely enough back then as it was.
Absently turning his wine glass in his hands, Dietre allowed himself to lean in a little against Hugh in return, so that the two of them were getting rather snug. He considered Hugh’s explanation, “I suppose you’re right…”
“But if I were Baby I would have at the very least told my sister what sort of man her beau was, if not walked up and dragged her away from him entirely,” he insisted stubbornly.
“Other than that, the movie is enjoyable.” He glanced at Hugh, worried he’d offend the man by talking negatively about his favorite film. “I’m glad I’ve come over to watch it.”
