Re: [Lakeside Management: Hugh & Atticus]
Heart pranced in and seeing that it was someone that she knew, she immediately went to sniff Atticus, tail wagging, friendly expression on her face, and Hugh told her to sit, as he held the door open so that Atticus could come in. He closed it behind him and reached for the milk.
"The brownies are probably still warm, maybe not, but it felt like if you were bringing milk warm brownies would be the best," Hugh grinned and nodded his head sideways towards the large living room that offered a picturesque view of the lake when the lake was behaving, which it felt as if this winter it decidedly had not been. Hugh didn't exactly know why, and he hadn't wanted to ask either. Sometimes it was best to just let Repose nonsense be its own thing and not dig too deeply.
He sat the milk bottles down on the edge of the counter and turned to really look at Atticus. "It seems like being off the island agrees with you," he told his friend. Objectively, Atticus was quite good looking, but right now he looked calmer maybe - a little warmer - whatever it was, it was a good look on him. "What have you been up to?"
