Re: tandy & holly; the music store
The weird thing about what Tandy was telling him, at least to Holly's thinking, was that it had started recently. So far, the weird shit in Repose seemed to be with people from birth, right? Like, Noah and Alex, and, okay, Gramps was different, but someone had turned him into a vampire hundreds of years ago. Some witch, which Holly thought really should've kept here-him alive, but it hadn't, which kinda sucked. Anyway, his current working and baseless theory was that all his shit? Was related to that guy dying, but that wasn't actually founded in anything real.
"Okay, okay, enough about your busted tastebuds. Give me a sec," and he rounded the counter and made for the front door. Slowly, right? Because, yeah, no crutches, but he still had the thin brace under his jeans, and he was still kinda slow getting around. But he turned the sign that indicated the store was closed, and he motioned toward the storeroom in the back. "There's more space back here," he explained as he went. "And, see, that's the thing? I think there probably are rules, just individual ones, but they have to make up the rules for this whole timeline thing, right? So, maybe we start IDK mapping them or something, like detectives plotting crime clues on a wall." A wall like the big, huge blank one in the mostly-empty storeroom they stepped into. "I went home. It was home, and Noah saw the version of me that was dead here. On that stupid fucking train you all road around on. Wait... was that him-you or you-you? When the train thing happened?"
