Re: lakeside mansions: Dietre A. & Hugh C.
Hugh listened, smiling at the description of the place. It sounded incredibly ritzy and posh, even maybe more so than what Hugh had imagined when Dietre had first mentioned the possibility, but Hugh nodded his head. "I'd love to," he enthused. "I mean, we should see if the food is any good, yeah? It'll be a little easier to do an evening when the show's over, but we could do a weeknight, if you're not working then?" He shook his head, "I mean, I think I said that before so I'm repeating myself, but yes. Let's do it. You can show off!"
Hugh nodded, pleased. "It feels like a really good fit for you," he said honestly. "Not that there's anything wrong with the burlesque show, but I feel like, I can see you sitting at a grand piano in a restaurant with marble floors a lot more easily. I'm so thrilled you got it and I just... I hope it'll be a good fit for you."
Hugh really hoped that it would be a good fit for Dietre, he wanted the other man to have some successes, because those were important. Doing something you loved, and having it work out, that could be a really powerful boost of confidence. Or maybe he was projecting a little too much, because it had been so much better for him to get back into acting again, but still. It seemed likely to be true for Dietre too.
"I'll have to come some night that you're playing, though," his eyes twinkled. "Cause, I mean, I want to go with you, but I also want to get to enjoy your music, so I'll have to visit one of those nights too."
