Re: lakeside mansions: Dietre A. & Hugh C.
“Ah… I see.” Caspar wasn’t the sort of person Dietre could imagine himself actually becoming friends with, but he seemed alright enough. His being very nice to look at sort of made up for the flippant, overly confident, rich playboy vibe he gave off. Sort of. Dietre briefly wondered if Hugh would feel any jealousy if he mentioned Caspar was handsome, but he doubted it too much to actually say anything.
Dietre didn’t want to gush, true, but Hugh asking questions made that hard. “Yes, it's a grand. A restaurant like that wouldn’t have anything less.” He didn’t quite know how to describe the place, but it was clear it had impressed him. “There is marble all over, and frescoes, and a golden statue of a winged lion hanging from the ceiling.” He smiled because it sounded ridiculous. “I’d like to go there with you sometime, if you still want to...” Not as a date, but just to see the place. Or, at least, that’s what he could say if he needed to.
“I feel… alright about it. Good, I suppose?” Even the simplest of feelings were difficult for Dietre to find words to talk about. “It is more respectable than playing for a burlesque show at any rate. Um… I’m optimistic.”
