lakeside mansions: Dietre A. & Hugh C.
The greeting and the appearance of Sieglinde both brightened the smile on Hugh's face. He reached down to greet the dog, and Heart came bounding so the two could greet each other. Hugh let them go, and turned his attention back to Dietre as he closed the door behind him. "I'm really good," Hugh admitted, and there was perhaps just a little wondering in his voice as he said it. It felt strange to say after so many months when he'd felt as if he were sleep walking through a life that didn't seem very much like his own. But the play had gotten reviews that were solid enough, and the tickets were selling decently well. Zee was here, he had friends who came over, or that he went out to do things with, and it wasn't perfect, but it was so much better than it had been and he felt so much more like himself. "The play's been going well. We've got a couple more weekends, and as far as I'm concerned it's already going too quickly," he grinned. "I'm thoroughly enjoying this run, honestly, and I know I'll get excited about whatever comes next, but I'm not all that excited about having to audition for it," he laughed lightly at himself.
Door closed he stepped in, heading immediately to the black pants he'd draped over the back of the sofa. He handed them over to Dietre. "I think they'll fit well enough," he told him. "You just need to be able to move, and you probably could in what you're wearing, but these'll be easier if you want to try them."
He leaned down, pulled a dog toy from the sofa cushions and waved it in Heart and Sieglinde's direction, while he nodded towards the stairs. "I put out a couple of mats downstairs, we'll be out of the way so Zee can wander around without us being in the way, and it's got a nice view of the outside, and it gives us a bit more privacy than up here. Do you think Sieglinde and Heart should come with us, or will she be okay up here without you?"
