Hannah smiled over at Rey. She didn't interrupt while Rey did whatever Rey was doing, and she just waited and waited, toes to roof and tap, tap, tap. It was a good night, and it was a safe night, and she tipped her head back and looked at the night, and then she smiled. "Thank you," she said of the house being devoid of darkness, and she'd thought so too. So far, the house hadn't said even one whisper to her, and not even the basement felt heavy to her.
She hadn't seen the bent-neck lady here yet, and she hadn't become paralyzed in her sleep, and she thought it would be good. Maybe it would be good for all of them... for Audrey, for Si, and for herself, and she tipped her head a little, hair tumbling messily over her shoulder. "You're kind. Thank you for sitting out here with me."
