The house was still there, sitting, knees hugged to her chest and imagining things in rapid succession, busy nothings by moonlight, but she turned her head when she heard a sound at the window. "Hi!" She hadn't forgotten Rey was coming. She had lost track of time, maybe, but that wasn't the same as forgetting.
She scooted back a little, more safely off the edge, and she patted the inclined roof for Rey to sit. "Come, come. It's safe. I promise." And it was, mostly. They were a little bit high up, and for Hannah heights were a thing that gave her shudders and shivers, but she liked that at times. It reminded her of things that she shouldn't ever forget. "Did Audrey love her cup?" she asked.
