Re: Upstairs, outside the open window: Hannah/Rey
Hannah had only just started taking cleaning jobs. One, two, and she didn't know the owners of any of the houses yet. She was just filling in for a local woman from times to time, and so it was her she'd dealt with. She didn't realize the woman the house was talking to lived in one of those big houses, but it wouldn't have mattered, really. Hannah had grown up in houses bigger and vaster, and situations changed and the world turned and tilted, and then you ended up as a house, a hooker, and a housekeeper.
"Audrey is," Hannah agreed of Audrey being kind, because Audrey was very, very kind, and Hannah was hoping that the number of people spilling through the front doors would help Audrey see how much she was loved and appreciated.
And she nodded then, did Hannah. "If you don't mind some chill and heights, yes, please, come sit. I promise not to riddle you with riddles." She smiled at her own dad joke, and it did remind her of her dad. She nodded again, as if reinforcement was required. "But explain the gifts first. That sounds like a nice tradition."
