Re: Kitchen: Hugh & Hannah & Zee
Maybe Hugh wasn't always very good at balance. But he possibly was in a better place to take criticism than he'd been a few months ago, and that was really nice. And Hannah wasn't wrong that being alone wasn't good for him. He didn't really know what companionship would look like in the future, but he knew he wasn't in balance at all when he lacked people. Friends kept him more grounded than he had really been aware of previously.
He had leaned into the hug and when she pulled back, he did so as well, offering her a smile. "I'll consider it," he told her, but it wasn't a dismissal so much as a promise that he would consider everything she'd said to him. And there was no need to thank him for being with her a little.
Zee's voice pulled him back to the present moment and he turned, reaching a hand out towards her as if to beckon her in. "There you are, I'd begun to wander if you'd hopped off without me. Hannah this is Zee, one of my dearest friends from forever and ever. Zee, Hannah - I just promised we'd come and see her at the carnival when I finished the play."
