Re: Kitchen: Hugh & Hannah
She tapped the sides of her feet together, and she reached out and took the cookie he offered her. Lifting it to her lips, she took a bite, and it was true that she'd tried every single thing Audrey had baked. For a week, she'd nibbled and nibbled, and she did the same thing now. "Thank you," she told him, and then she pretended to consider his comment about maybe dancing with Zee, and it was okay that he was tired and wanted to sleep, but she still pretended to consider it before nodding her permission. "Okay, you can sleep, but then you have to wake up and dance with her." She didn't know Zee, and she didn't know their past, but she still liked the idea of them rolling out of bed and dancing. "And you should take some cookies for breakfast. Cookies and coffee, and I'm glad your opening night went well. Congratulations, Hugh!"
She waited patiently as he re-situated, and she looked out at the people mulling. She hoped Audrey was having a good time, and she hoped that Audrey wasn't stressed or overwhelmed or hiding. She very much hoped that it would be a night where Audrey would go to bed exhausted, but happy, and with a smile on her lips.
"Oh. Can you check with them? Maybe they still haven't found anything," she said of whoever was looking for a roommate. She knew Hugh had Heart, but she thought he needed people too, and it never hurt to ask. But she was quiet then, and she listened about Theodore. She knew he'd been getting close to Theodore, and she was sorry to hear about him in the past tense. "Where does Dietre live?" she asked, because they'd been talking really, really comfortably. "Do you want to tell me what happened with Theodore?" she asked then, softly and from near his shoulder. It was an opening, if he wanted to take it; she would listen.
