Re: Upstairs, outside the open window: Hannah/Rey
Hannah hadn't heard the gossip, but gossip wasn't whispered around her. The whole town knew she was one of the girls who worked at hookerville, who slept with the nice fathers and husbands around town. They knew she worked at the truck stop too, and now she cleaned big houses around the lake, and she was the type of tarnished woman that made people close their doors and keep their men safely inside. She thought it was silly, as if she made any of these men do the things they did, but it meant gossip went quiet when she passed by. Hush, and shhhhh, and don't talk around her. "I know him too!" she said of Ren. "We're really good friends. Oh! You must be his friend who knows his family."
She smiled at the thought of introducing Si to people, because she knew Si would just grin a little and go along with it. "Okay! I'll introduce you once he's here," she said, and she leaned forward a little and pointed at the door. "She's probably in the kitchen, making something wonderful for people," she said of Audrey. "And I've been here a while. A few years now, and I don't think I'm going anywhere anytime soon. I just met Audrey, though, really recently."
