Re: Foot of the stairs: Burden/Audrey
"I feel like Repose isn't like anywhere else at all." Her chin ducked in time with the tiny smile etching itself on her face. Audrey looked up at him. "It's not like Denver. Denver is ... sunny, open, growing, but even when it's crowded, it's open. There's more air here though, I feel like. If that makes sense. It's so think there. .. but it's beautiful. The mountains, the sky. I think you'd like to see it at least, since you've never been. I am sure you'd have an adventure of your own."
She kept pace beside him to walk him to the door and see he got out alright, appreciating he kept slow as they talked, it kept the sensation of feeling rushed by a lack of time at bay. There was an ease about him she enjoyed, a subtle warmth exuded that kept anxiousness and second guessing at bay. "You're welcome. I hope you like them--and thank you, for talking with me too. I--it...it was good."
Her little smile finally fully blossomed when he spoke of the sugar and the singing. "I'll try to remember that, but it's mostly reserved for my room and Hannah's ears when I am cleaning." Audrey glanced to his hand and took in a breath as her hand enclosed about slender pale fingers and gently squeezed. "I'll see you around, Burden."
