Kitchen: Hugh & Hannah
He’d stayed out on the porch for a few minutes, drinking a couple more sips of the flask, before he’d headed back into the house. It wasn’t typical for him to need that kind of quiet in an evening, but maybe despite himself, he’d begun to appreciate the quiet moments away from people and he hadn’t had many of those today. Back in the party he’d made his way to the kitchen - picking up the plate he’d discarded earlier and returning it to the kitchen - and then looking for an empty and unused cup so that he could get some water from the tap. There was the half moment of surprise when he realized it didn’t taste the same as at his house, but he almost always used the filtered water from the fridge.
He leaned back against again the counter, downed it and filled the cup again, this time taking only a sip before turning back towards the door. He’d figure out if Zee had managed to make friends maybe. And say hello to a few other people, particularly Hannah and Audrey as it was their party after all.
It was at the door that he caught sight of Hannah. “Hannah!” He greeted her with a warm smile. “This is so perfect and beautiful, I love it for you guys. How has it been tonight?”
