Re: Near the food: Hugh & Dietre
Though Dietre was not aware that Audrey had spoken of her suspicions about his feelings to Hugh, he still sensed that very same elephant. Unlike Hugh, he did not want to bring it out into the open. He wasn’t in the proper state of mind to even fully acknowledge his feelings, let alone discuss them. The thought that at any moment he could have to explain himself made his stomach twist in knots.
There was a tense second or two where Dietre was sure something would be said, but then Hugh continued with the yoga topic again. Dietre had to suppress his sigh of relief. If he could get through the next few minutes without having to talk about Zee’s existence anymore he thought he’d be alright.
“I’ll have to search my wardrobe for appropriate yoga clothing, but I’m sure I’ll find something.” A t-shirt was easy enough, it was pants that were going to be a problem. He might actually have to go out and buy a pair of sweats (as much as that would pain him, the horror!) “Midweek will be just fine.”
Shuffling his feet, Dietre attempted his goodbye. “Um… Well, I’m walking, so…” He trailed off. It was sort of awkward to not have a car to escape in, wasn’t it?
