Re: Upstairs, outside the open window: Hannah/Rey
"I think I can be an oracle," she said, her voice carrying brightly on the night air, buoyed by the music from inside the house. "When I'm not being the house, I'm Hannah. Hi, Rey, and the house says welcome and..." The word trailed and the space grew and grew, and she tried to recall one of Eddie's old riddles. Think and think, and the words that came to mind were simple and not very complicated at all: "What room in a house do ghosts avoid?" she asked, toes curled against the edge of the awning. Maybe it was strange, her telling a ghost joke, but it felt a little appropriate tonight.
"Are you a friend of Audrey's?" she asked next, and she didn't know Audrey's friends well yet. She hadn't lived with the other girl long, and Audrey didn't really have friends over. Tonight was kind of supposed to be about changing that. "She's inside and probably in the kitchen, fluttering from person to person and making sure the have enough to eat and drink," she explained fondly, as if conversations from the rooftop were really, really normal. All things considered, the conversation wasn't so strange at all.
